Caroline's bio


Caroline Meeks is founder of a successful for-profit software company, Solution Grove, Inc., and also works internationally to co-found an open source learning management system and nonprofit corporation (www.dotlrn.org). An entrepreneur with a proven ability to launch companies, organizations and web sites, Caroline has substantial leadership experience wih for-profit organizations and open source communities as well as project management experience, strong computer skills, extensive cross-disciplinary engineering experience, and a proven ability to learn new technologies and lead teams in applying these technologies in a variety of industries.

Caroline is a .LRN Consortium board member and has served as a member of the OpenACS Core Team (the technical steering body of OpenACS). She has worked on Learning Management Systems (LMS) since 1999 when she managed a team that implemented SloanSpace for MIT Sloan School of Management. Caroline has been involved with several major upgrades and relaunches of SloanSpace and continues to support it.

Caroline's other LMS projects include a continuing education project for Partners Healthcare (MGH); an online registration systems for the Boston Museum of Science; Leadership for a Networked World program and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and numerous other sites for nonprofit and corporate clients.

Caroline is a graduate of the MIT Class of 1985 and is a current student at Harvard's Graduate School of Education,; Technology, Innovation and Education Program.
