Caroline's bioCaroline Meeks is founder and CEO of Solution Grove Inc. Caroline has proven her abilities to launch companies, organizations and web sites. Solution Grove's education projects include a resident and continuing education project for Partners Healthcare (MGH), an online registration system for the Boston Museum of Science, the Leadership for a Networked World program site for Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, several sites for the MIT Sloan School of Management, a learning management system for a number of high schools in Connecticut in association with the Center for 21st Century Skills, and numerous other sites for nonprofit and corporate clients. Caroline has worked internationally in open source and education. She co-founded an open source learning management system and nonprofit corporation (www.dotlrn.org) and worked with the "Sugar on a Stick" project for Sugar Labs (Sugarlabs.org), to bring USB-based educational computing to K-5 children. She is currently piloting Khan Academy website in a computer center in a local public housing project. She has worked on learning management systems since 1999 when she managed a team that implemented SloanSpace for the MIT Sloan School. Caroline has substantial leadership experience with for-profit organizations and open source communities as well as project management experience. In 2010 Caroline earned her Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Technology, Innovation and Education Program, thus adding a theoretical background to her many years of online learning experience, strong computer skills and cross-disciplinary engineering experience. Caroline is a graduate of the MIT Class of 1985. |
