How to Use ACS-Lang to Update Interface on the Site

  1. Log in to the site and go to Developer Support Toolbar page. (for e.g. http://yoursite.com/ds)

  2. Enable the Developer Support toolbar by clicking on the Turn it on link. Make sure the the Developer Support toolbar is turned ON as shown in the image below.

  3. Once Developer Support toolbar is turned ON, you can go to your index page to enable the translation mode located at the upper portion of your page which is named TRN button.

  4. You will then see a green o link button that will give you access to translate all the message key in your site. Let's try Your Portrait Message Key.

  5. You can change "Your Portrait" to "My Portrait" to change the current acs-subsite. Your_Portrait message key then save it by clicking on the Update button.

  6. After saving your Message Key, you will then be redirected to the Index Page with your Edited Message Key as shown below.

  7. Now export that change to your catalog files by going to /acs-lang/admin then, click on English (US) and click on the appropriate package key where your edited message key belongs.  For this example in acs-subsite, Your_Portrait message key belongs to Acs-Subsite Package Key.

  8. Locate your message key on that package to make sure of your changes and then click on Export Messages for this Package and Locale to Catalog Files.

  9. It will then give you the confirmation that all messages are exported in that package.
