Content Management
One size does not fit all. But one basket keeps all your eggs safe!
OpenACS, our base platform, uses a centralized content repository allowing us to do the right thing from a computer science perspective.
But human interfaces are another matter. Different organizations and different tasks require specialized and optimized systems. Click below for screenshots and more details on some of our major choices for managing content.
- LORS-Central A Learning Objects Repository that allows learning objects reuse between classes
- Forums (aka Bulletin Boards, Discussion Boards)
- File Storage
- Photo Album
- Weblogger
- Wiki
- BCMS – "Basic" Content Management System (this is actually a powerful system)
- XCMS – Xtreme Content Management (An even more powerful system)
- FS-CMS – A simpler system for clients where a significant amount of their content includes links to pdfs, word docs, other Web sites
- Edit This Page – We love this concept, and although we have deprecated this package we have kept the core concept and all of our solutions have an “edit” button that appears only to people who have edit capabilities.
